Westgate Community Farms

I had no idea there was a community farm located right off of Okeechobee Blvd. When we pulled up there were a bunch of volunteers already there. It was a Saturday morning, so it took some convincing to get my friends and myself there on time. But what a great time helping out. We dodged the bad weather and helped weed, prepare the soil for new plantings and pitched in wherever we were needed. Everyone was so helpful and made it fun.
